Layne began working with computers in 1984. Interfacing with both users and developers, Layne helped create the very first PC point-of-sale application for Esprit de Corp. Her extensive background in gathering user requirements, writing test scripts and documenting software applications led to another job with a software development company where she quickly rose to Senior Technical Writer.
In a wild departure, Layne began working for an Ayurvedic physician where she learned that massage therapy was calling her. She attended massage school in Albuquerque and has enjoyed a successful practice since 1996.
Layne has now come full circle and is looking forward to a long and satisfying career in web design. Her cooperative spirit, adept listening skills and creative talent will help you define and refine your website goals.
Robert has been looking through his camera lens for most of his life and that translates to a handful of decades. The desire to interpret, enhance, beautify, simplify or distort what he sees is a daily mantra. He always has his camera with him because he knows the one time he doesn’t, he will regret it.
The past sixteen years have been spent in natural foods retail, which allowed him to embrace his photographic passion by viewing the sales floor as a photograph, and instead of capturing the image, capturing the customer. A recently fulfilled passion was to take off on his motorcycle for a week and click a few thousand pictures. His subjects are everything that flashes before his eyes and he is always looking for the image worthy angle.
Robert is now applying his visual concerns on the graphics at AWD. His only problem is deciding to do the next job in Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator. Whatever he chooses, it will be hard for him to say the job is done because the path is the best part.
Colleen purchased a Tandy 1000 computer in the eighties and spent countless hours with a DOS textbook exploring her new computer. She was ecstatic when she discovered Excel and started using it to track enterprises for a business in which she was involved. Colleen started taking classes with the International Webmasters Association in 2007, and will soon earn a Certificate in Web Tehnologies. Her next goal is a Certificate in Web Programming. She firmly believes that the internet should be useable to all, including those who are visually challenged, and strives to design websites accordingly. "It's a lot more work, but it's worth the extra effort", she says about accessible design.
A "jack of all trades", Colleen holds a Commercial Pilot Certificate with instrument, multi-engine and balloon ratings, a Class A Commercial Driver's License, and an Oregon Wastewater Treatment Plant operator certification. Her life experience serves her well in understanding the needs of clients. "Our websites feel like they were designed by the people who own them, while also being clean, crisp, and professionally done. Our clients deserve no less".
